Eagleville, PA — June 17, 2025 — Streamlight^®, Inc., a leading provider of high-performance lighting tools, announces the launch of its revolutionary SL-SideSaddle^® series of innovative lighting systems designed to seamlessly mount to a wide range of hats, hard hats, and safety helmets. Available in both USB rechargeable and alkaline battery-powered models, the SL-SideSaddle® is designed for use in demanding environments, providing reliable, hands-free lighting to keep industrial professionals working safely and efficiently.

Whether illuminating tight workspaces or enhancing user visibility on job sites, the SL-SideSaddle® delivers targeted beam control through selectable spot, flood, or spot/flood combination modes and a rear-facing blue LED taillight. The lightweight, impact-resistant lights integrate without interfering with other headgear accessories, such as visors or hearing protection, and are easily detachable for handheld use.  

The SL-SideSaddle® USB delivers up to 400 lumens with a run time of 5 hours on high combo. On low spot, the light offers 12 hours of run time and up to 100 lumens. The alkaline version provides up to 300 lumens with a run time of up to 5 hours. The low flood setting provides 16 hours of run time at 60 lumens.  A push-button tail switch with mode memory recalls the last beam setting when the light is activated.

The SL-SideSaddle® USB features USB-C rechargeability, using a 2000 mAh lithium polymer cell that charges in four hours. The SL-SideSaddle® (alkaline) runs on three AAA alkaline batteries. Both models are IPX7-rated, waterproof to 1 meter for 30 minutes.

The SL-SideSaddle® series is available in high-visibility yellow or black. The lights feature a tough polycarbonate thermoplastic construction and an unbreakable polycarbonate lens that is impervious to shock and drop tested to withstand 2 meter impact. Each system – the universal mounting system for helmets and hard hats, or the hat light system for mounting on a baseball hat or bump cap – includes mounting hardware to securely attach the SL-SideSaddle®.

The USB version of the light is 3 inches long and 1.72 inches wide, with a height of 1.14 inches and a weight of 3.1 ounces. The alkaline version of the light measures 3 inches long by 2.25 inches wide and 1.14 inches tall, and weighs 3.4 ounces with batteries installed. The lights have MSRPs of $100.70 (USB) and $68.90 (alkaline) and are backed by Streamlight’s Limited Lifetime Warranty.
