With Daily Use, Regular Wear and Tear, and Whoops Moments That Would Have Ended a Lesser Flashlight, It Has NEVER Failed to Work!

My current family of Streamlight® products (a ProTac® HL-X, ProTac HL® 4, ProTac® 2L, Stinger®, and a Stinger LED HL®) began several years ago with multiple Streamlight penlights sold by our local tool vendors (Snap-on, Matco, etc), but my trust, admiration, and love were cemented with the subject of this testimonial: A ProTac 2L, which I purchased in 2013 at a local Cabela's and used daily for years.

With daily use, regular wear and tear, and "whoops" moments that would've ended a lesser flashlight, it has NEVER failed to work. Nor has it ever had any issues that lesser brands (even comparable brands) have exhibited in my experience, such as inconsistent and varying light output, and/or faulty or poor electrical connections within.

Through all its reliable use, the black finish has completely worn away, leaving a "silvery" finish; the bezel lens had cracked and fell away some point long ago; it's survived drops/falls (some from considerable heights while on a ladder), being submerged in water, falling into snow and water in sub-zero temperatures, and spending a night in an icy puddle having fallen from my pocket apparently (causing me much panic, eventually retracing my steps and joyfully being reunited with it).

In addition, the Streamlight "siblings" I have added to the family have likewise performed flawlessly and reliably. The Stinger & charger set purchased shortly after the subject here, to this day, impress me. Not only is this light consistent and reliable, additionally, the batteries still hold a charge as long as when new, despite being cycled hundreds, if not, over a thousand times! I always recommend Streamlight's products to everyone, and carry a Stinger HL on my person daily, an original stinger in my toolbox, a ProTac HL kept in an outdoors backpack, and a ProTac HL-X mounted to a long gun.

The little ProTac 2L purchased in 2013, having been used and worn so much, is no longer black, lacks the lens, and yet somehow still functions reliably. It blows my mind! I don't know of any other brands that would've fared as well. I doubt even Surefire, known for their ruggedness, would've come out still functional having been through as much as this little guy!
