"After 23 Years, I'm Pretty Convinced My Streamlight® SL-20 Was Built To Last."

"No one makes things that last anymore. So when I find something like the Streamlight® SL-20 - which I bought in 1984 and it's still going strong - I want to thank the company that made it, and tell other people about it.

I bought it back in 1984 when I was working in security. When I became a police officer, I brought my SL-20 with me. I could always depend on that light. Over the years, it was dropped off a balcony (on to concrete); it bounced down metal stairs; and I can't tell you how many times it was left on the top of my patrol car only to fly off as I drove away. But it still kept working.

I replaced the bulb and the batteries a couple of times. That's it. I still keep it next to my bed at night. And as long as I pop it in the charger every few weeks, it's always ready to go.

I think I got my money's worth from that light. And then some."
