Once again, Streamlight was proud to exhibit at FDIC (Fire Department Instructor Conference & Exhibition). The world’s largest firefighter training conference enables us to speak directly with the firefighters who depend on flashlights to perform their important, life-saving work.
At FDIC 2014, April 7–12 in Indianapolis, we not only got a chance to hear about firefighters’ toughest challenges, we also had the opportunity to showcase our new Portable Scene Light. With its ability to quickly illuminate an entire area, we felt the Portable Scene Light would be a welcome addition to firefighters’ arsenal of lights. Show attendees overwhelmingly confirmed our belief in it as a sturdy, versatile, long-running, bright, and easily transportable light. We kept hearing how it would make a dramatic difference at the site of so many fires.
About the Portable Scene Light
This powerful light delivers 3,600 lumens on high for 5 hours, 2,400 lumens on medium for 9 hours, and 1,000 lumens on low for 18 hours.
It folds to a compact 22” and weighs only 25 pounds, making it easy to carry into tight, confined spaces. The light can arrive at a site, and be set-up as a flood or spot light to illuminate the entire scene. It quickly deploys (about 30 seconds) into a wide variety of configurations that shine light precisely where it’s needed. It’s stable on steps and other uneven surfaces; and its telescoping head extends to 72”.
How would you use this powerful Portable Scene Light?
The Portable Scene Light can be an indispensable tool for first responders, firefighters, construction crews, and utility workers. The more we show the light, the more we hear about its potential uses.
So, we’d like to know how you would use our Portable Scene Light. Email us at email@example.com and tell us how you’d use it on your job or just suggest some creative applications. The best suggestions will be featured in the next newsletter.
