Streamlight SolarStream™ is an innovative way to keep vehicle batteries charged

One of Streamlight's newest products represents a new initiative for the company – it's not a flashlight! It also represents an innovative new technology for charging vehicle batteries.

The new Streamlight SolarStream uses sunlight to charge vehicle batteries. Primarily for police, emergency and fleet vehicles that typically have a variety of electronic devices drawing power from the vehicle's battery, the Streamlight SolarStream ensures that vehicles are always charged and ready to go. There's no longer a need to continuously jump-start vehicles, and police officers don't have to be concerned that their vehicles will lose power at inopportune times.

The convenience and security of the Streamlight SolarStream costs little to nothing because it pays for itself through man-hour and battery cost reductions. It reduces the number of replacement batteries needed over a vehicle's lifetime; and it saves countless man-hours that no longer need to be spent jump-starting batteries.

A solar charging panel, made of an amorphous silicone, easily affixes to the roof of any vehicle. Streamlight SolarStream continuously collects sunlight – even in low-light conditions. It provides a 14-watt supplemental power charge to the vehicle, helping to prevent it from ever draining completely. Streamlight SolarStream's unique charging system is designed to avoid overcharging and prevent reverse charging.
