STREAMLIGHT® WAYPOINT® RECHARGEABLE SPOTLIGHT RECEIVES 2013 BEST CHOICE AWARD FROM PRACTICAL SAILOR MAGAZINE

EAGLEVILLE, PA — November 12, 2013 — Streamlight® Inc., a leading provider of high-performance lighting, received Practical Sailor's 2013 "Best Choice" among spotlights for its Waypoint® Rechargeable spotlight. The editors chose the spotlight for "its top-notch performance, rugged durability, and bonus features."

The magazine awards its "Best Choice" designation to products that outperformed competitors in tests, and would be the best choice for readers looking to purchase such products.

"We're very pleased that Practical Sailor has recommended the rechargeable version of the Waypoint spotlight to the sailors and boat owners who look to the magazine for products they can count on," said Streamlight President and Chief Executive Officer Ray Sharrah. "This spotlight is not only rugged, but also dependable with its long-running rechargeable battery. Whether used as a handheld mobile searchlight, or as a hands-free stationary light, it's the ideal light for boaters in low-light situations."

The Waypoint Rechargeable offers three lighting settings, including high, low and emergency. On the high setting, the light delivers 300 lumens and 80,000 candela over a range of 560 meters; on low, the spotlight provides 25 lumens and 6,100 candela over a range of 155 meters.

The rechargeable Waypoint uses a C4® LED and features a deep-dish parabolic reflector that produces a long-range targeting beam while also optimizing peripheral illumination. Powered by a lithium ion battery with an on-board safety control circuit, the Waypoint Rechargeable provides 5 hours of run time on the high setting, 50 hours on low, and 35 hours in emergency signal mode.

The spotlight features a trigger-style switch with momentary or click on/off operation. It has a cushioned handle grip that eliminates user hand fatigue, comes with a high-strength wrist lanyard, and features an integrated stand for hands-free scene lighting.

The Waypoint Rechargeable weighs about 1.5 pounds and measures 6.75 inches long by 7.14 inches high. It features an IPX8 rated design for waterproof operation to two meters, and will float if dropped in water.

The MSRP for the Waypoint Rechargeable is $204.00 and includes Streamlight's Limited Lifetime Warranty.
